Here’s how I got back to my blogging routine for successful blogging life even after going through days of being unmotivated.
To seek motivation for blogging, I follow certain criteria that help me to take the every next step with more confidence and determination.
1-Check Emails StraightAway
The foremost step is to read emails. If I skip everyday blogging, I still try to read my emails and check if there’s anything important not to be missed. On weekly basis, I read my emails because it’s one of my favorite spot to read the latest stuff, promotions and best content. Before I geared up to write or research, I opened few important emails to boost up motivation and to encourage myself. I follow several personal development blogs too to get the best reads. Thankfully, these blogs have been so helpful in better productivity and personal growth.
Do you have an email list? Building an email list helps to establish an audience that loves to read you. Here is a quick method to start with an email list for your blog.
2-Read The Best Posts By Favorite Bloggers
I have a list of favorite blogs, belonging to different niches, including freelancing, blogging and personal development. Thanks to the highly talented content writers for producing such powerful material on the sites that doesn’t fail to motivate readers every time. Every blog updates energetic content with an impressive Call To Action. Because of my desirous habit of reading, I learn a lot with a rise of every new day. I don’t miss the chance of swallowing more knowledge and information. It gives me the actionable motivation to write and continue with my blogging journey. I hope it works for you too.
3-Keep Social Media Accounts Alive
The online world faded away when I decided to take a break. It felt me disconnected and distracted from the diaspora of the social world. I might have missed some tech news, latest blog posts, viral contents or a personal biography of a highly recognized blogger/author while I was absent on social media. But, I was determined about one thing that I’ve to reclaim those contents and best reads.
I didn’t have any personal chat with my followers too. Although, I tried to respond back to few comments.
In few hours, I became active on my business social media accounts. I posted fresh visuals and updated status. I also shared few of my fellows content in order to let them know about my channel’s availability.
Briefly, I wanted my readers to know that EPIFE IS BACK ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Let’s interact!
4-A Quick Review Of Blog’s Performance Is A Must
How can a blogger forget to study the statistics of the website?
Early morning, I checked the site and hover over to the top viewed pages. I got some impressive and few disappointing results too. Obviously, there was a fall in the overall traffic which I didn’t like. I had to make new strategies to promote my earlier content. I had to develop a content strategy for my blog. I started hunting ideas for new blog posts. After going through Google Analytics, I got the straight idea of the website’s overall performance. It helped me to understand the weak posts and the areas where my traffic is not converting.
At times, blogging can be boring and tedious. It also lessens your interest to invest more creativity and ideas. The best way to have a clean site is to remove the unnecessary items from the pages. I tried to update the old posts and added new factual data which is more helpful to the audiences. The next step was to work on the heavy images and excessive files. I kept the most important ones and deleted the redundant material. After cleanup, my website looked more fresh and appealing. It stimulates to give more potential into developing a solid blogging routine.
6-Send Out Emails
Since I was my back, the next step I took was to shoot an email to my followers. A constructive approach in terms of online business is to interact with the audience and let them perceive a hint of your personal side too. It eventually helps to build a connection with the readers. In this way, one can boost up conversations with the audiences. It enables them to know more about your business goals and accomplishments.
7-Show Availability To Freelance Clients And Bloggers
The most important thing I did the next day was to show my availability to the freelance clients and other blogging friends. I started reaching out to my clients about my services. I began sending proposals with fresh ideas and commitment to deliver within deadlines. I worked on sending cold emails with appropriate pitches and new ideas.
8-Set Blogging Goals
I’m among those journal lovers who prefer writing everything down in journals or notebooks. However, I also use online tools like Trello and Evernote for collecting ideas, links and best resources. Blogging goals ACTUALLY helped me to perform remarkably well for my blog. I began setting goals for next week and upcoming month. Here’s how you can create blogging goals for a productive 2017 ahead!
After seeking enough motivation, I couldn’t wait to start writing blog posts. Motivation was the reason to keep ‘writing’ as the last step. All the above steps will help you retrieve the blogging habit. Following above steps, it has become easier for me to write now. I researched for latest blog post ideas. Since keyword research is an integral part of SEO content to rank well in Google, I reviewed the practice before writing.
