My favorite method that bloggers must use to earn money from blogs
I just wanted to break this post into small parts so that it gives you a comprehensive knowledge of how to be a blogger and get paid. Knowing these methods will help you make your own decision and choose what best fits.
This page contains few affiliate links. That means I may a small commission if you use them. It doesn’t cost you anything extra. Thanks for always supporting my blog.
HOW DO BLOGGERS GET PAID?
The first and foremost thing to acknowledge is that blogging can take time. Depending on your consistent efforts, and hard work it may take a month, or six months to make your first dollar. I don’t really favor those reads which claim that someone made $500 in their first month of blogging. I don’t really think so it’s possible for first-time bloggers. Even, if somebody makes it I believe it’s good for them.
But, I follow a roadmap that requires consistency, efficiency, passion and hard work to get a profitable outcome. Only after the day, I started making dollars, I thought to write posts on those subjects. I don’t really want to ramble over things that others say. I wanted to practice first, collect the results in hand and then, teach the exact same strategies to my regular readers.
Bloggers can use several ways to get paid to blog. Your blog gives you a complete ownership of a web space where you’re the individual boss. You are free to make decisions. Choose the best blog monetization methods. You decided to choose to blog as a side-hustle. Starting a business from your blog is your decision. It’s all how you want to get paid.
Bloggers make money through several methods. Some prefer to choose advertisements while few prefer to sell their own products on their blogs. In this post, you will figure out how to make money from blogging.
Another important thing I would like to pay attention is the self-hosted blogging. The bloggers who currently use the free plan of wordpress.com should know that a self-hosted site on WordPress.org gives you more flexibility to maximize earning opportunities from blogging. It’s completely okay if you don’t want to monetize your blog. When you self-host your blog with a company like Bluehost, or Siteground you enjoy certain benefits. You can read the comparison of WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

POPULAR METHODS TO MAKE MONEY BLOGGING AND BECOME A PAID BLOGGER
I’m going to uncover possible ways bloggers make money from their blogs.
And, here’s how you can also make money blogging.

1- Ad networks
It’s one of the most common methods to earn money from blogging. Once your blog has enough unique content, you can apply for networks like Google Adsense, Media.net, and Infolinks. These networks pay on click per rate views. The maximum number of people view or click on your ads will make you money. As a blog site gets approval from the ad network, the blogger has to place a code and start running ads on the site.
When your total page views and clicks increase, the total commission also increases. As simple as that.
Few bloggers make $50-$100 a month whereas high trafficked sites make more than $500. It’s just an estimate value. Of course, we need to dig more into this to find the accurate amount.
2- Affiliate marketing
Many bloggers are successful with affiliate marketing. It lets you promote someone else product at a commission rate. When you join any affiliate program, you receive an affiliate link which you place on your site and make commissions. The special link is used to track your visitors when they make a purchase or visit the other site. Every time your visitor clicks the affiliate link and made a purchase through that link, you make some money.

The commission rates depend on the affiliate marketing program you have joined. It usually varies from 3% – 40%. Some programs even pay more than that. Too often the rate starts from 5%. Most importantly, it may take a month or three months to make your first affiliate commission.
3- Sponsored post / Paid reviews
Bloggers get paid for publishing sponsored content on their websites. What does that mean?
Basically, companies contact individual bloggers or websites owners to publish content. When a blog owner accepts the offer and publishes the content, he/she receives a fixed amount for the publication. The same way companies also contact bloggers to write paid reviews on their sites. For example. A company asks you to write a review on hair oils and they will pay you for that. The company and the blogger agreed to the length of content, adding product images and other stuff.
The sponsored content rate depends on certain factors including the quality content of the blog, the domain authority, the engagement rate with the audience, the traffic of website, the audience reach, content marketing methods, social media influence etc. When a company pays a blogger, they have to make sure whether the site has potential to give them exposure to a new audience.
4- Do Freelance Writing
Many bloggers are good writers. They really know how to pique their reader’s interest, and how to create outstanding blog posts. There are many websites that pay freelance writers and bloggers to write. You can simply get paid to blog and write articles from home.
Freelance writing can help bloggers make extra income every month.
5- Become a part-time VA
Blogging is a multi-tasking job. The blogger wears many hats and knows how to upload, publish, and schedule content. If you have virtual assistant skills or you can offer blog management services then show your blog as an example and make some money.
6- Offer Coaching and consulting services
Many bloggers earn money by coaching and consulting services. However, it also depends on the niche you’ve chosen. Not every blogger can offer a coaching service. But, you need to be an expert in your field to offer strategic sessions or services. For example, a crafts blogger who has been into the field for five years can actually tell you ideas that sell. An online home-based entrepreneur can teach you tactics to get started online. An SEO expert offers website SEO audit and helps to improve your site performance.
7- Membership sites
There are numerous membership sites available online. People sign up for these sites at a monthly or yearly payment. These sites don’t just educate or teach but it’s more like a community of like-minded individuals. When you get access to these membership sites, you are open to accelerate discussions on any relevant topic.
Let’s look at few examples.
Youpreneur is a community for brand building entrepreneurs who want to take their business to next levels. RelaxionYoga has a monthly and yearly program for weight loss and flexibility. Ivorymix stock membership site is an affordable solution for stock image lovers.

Nowadays, selling products online is a common business. A lot of people establish online stores to sell their products. But, you can do same on your blog. If you create digital products like printables, ebooks, courses etc then programs like Sendowl, teachable and Udemy are good to start with.
9- Set up an online shop on your blog
If you sell physical products like stationery items, clothes, and other accessories then setting up an online shop is a better option. Building an online store from scratch can be a terrifying idea for complete newbies. Now, it can be done easily with helpful guides.
